AIRCRAFT ACTIVITY

We have submitted the military requests in which we are hoping for allocation of some Royal Air Force participation (a Flying Display, hopeful of some assets from the Kings Birthday Flypast & a static), Joint Air Command flypast tbc ,a Parachute Display Team plus a request to the Belgian Air Force for a helicopter display - we will know more in the New Year of what can support our event. A small number of civilian displays are being requested and all will be announced below.

In the Flying Display

We are delighted to welcome back Historic Helicopters from Chard with their ex Belgian Air Force Sea King MK48 in our Flying Display program. The Belgians flew a small number of Sea Kings from 1976 to 2019.The one attending will be tail number RS02 & you will be able to chat to the crew on the ground.

We are also delighted to welcome back Project 179 with their Westland Lynx Mk7 in our Flying Display - one of the two airworthy Lynx in private ownership in the UK. You will be able to chat to the crew on the ground about this unique helicopter in which the Army Air Corps flew Mk7s until retired in 2015.

Boeing Test Pilot Rich Pillans will be demonstrating the capabilities of this Bell 47 in our Flying Display. Bell 47s first flew in 1945 and served with many countries around the world. You can meet Rich on the ground dressed in period 'Top Hat & Tails'.

In the Flying Display

Longtime supporters of our event is The Gazelle Squadron Display Team who will provide a four-ship display. The Gazelle served with all three UK armed forces, the last being retired from Army Air Corps service in October 2023. The Display team are a representation of various marks of Gazelle in various military colours, and you can meet the team on the ground.
